Tavin-L is a combination HIV medicine.
It contains two drugs in one tablet:

• Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) – reverse transcriptase inhibitor

• Lamivudine (3TC) – reverse transcriptase inhibitor

It is usually taken with another HIV medicine (like an integrase inhibitor or protease inhibitor) as part of full treatment.

Mechanism 

• Tenofovir and Lamivudine both block the HIV enzyme reverse transcriptase.

• This enzyme is needed by HIV to make copies of itself.

• Blocking it stops the virus from multiplying, lowers HIV levels in the blood, and helps the immune system recover.

  Uses

  • Treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and adolescents (as part of combination therapy).

  • Helps prevent HIV-related complications and strengthens immunity.

    Adverse Effects 

    Common side effects:

    • Headache

    • Nausea, stomach upset

    • Diarrhea

    • Tiredness
