Tavin-L is a combination HIV medicine.
It contains two drugs in one tablet:
-
Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) – reverse transcriptase inhibitor
-
Lamivudine (3TC) – reverse transcriptase inhibitor
It is usually taken with another HIV medicine (like an integrase inhibitor or protease inhibitor) as part of full treatment.
Mechanism
-
Tenofovir and Lamivudine both block the HIV enzyme reverse transcriptase.
-
This enzyme is needed by HIV to make copies of itself.
-
Blocking it stops the virus from multiplying, lowers HIV levels in the blood, and helps the immune system recover.
Uses
-

-
Helps prevent HIV-related complications and strengthens immunity.
