Chemodoc contains Docetaxel, which is a chemotherapy medicine.
It belongs to the group called taxanes, used to treat different solid cancers.

Mechanism 

• Cancer cells divide by using structures called microtubules.

• Docetaxel binds to microtubules and makes them stable.

• This prevents them from breaking down, which is necessary for cell division.

• As a result, cancer cells cannot divide and eventually die.

  • Breast cancer

  • Lung cancer (non-small cell)

  • Prostate cancer

  • Stomach cancer

  • Head and neck cancers

  • Often given with other chemotherapy drugs for better results.

    Adverse Effects 

    Common side effects:

    • Hair loss

    • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

    • Mouth sores

    • Fatigue, weakness

    • Nail changes (darkening, brittleness)

    • Swelling of hands/feet (fluid retention)
