Manforce is a medicine that contains Sildenafil citrate, widely used for treating erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It helps improve the ability to get and maintain an erection during sexual activity. It belongs to a group of medicines known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors.

Mechanism of action:
Sildenafil works by blocking the PDE5 enzyme, which breaks down a natural chemical called cGMP. cGMP helps relax blood vessels in the penis and allows more blood to flow during sexual arousal. By maintaining higher cGMP levels, Manforce improves erection quality.

Uses:

• Treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men

• In some other brands, Sildenafil is also used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (a condition of high blood pressure in the lungs)

Adverse effects:
Common side effects include headache, flushing, dizziness, nasal congestion, stomach upset, and blurred vision. Some men may also experience back pain, muscle aches, or sensitivity to light. Rare but serious risks include sudden loss of vision or hearing, chest pain, severe drop in blood pressure (especially if taken with nitrates), and prolonged or painful erections (priapism).
