Kon-D Cream is a topical antifungal and anti-inflammatory cream. It contains two main ingredients:
-
Fluconazole (antifungal)
-
Beclometasone dipropionate (corticosteroid) It is used on the skin to treat fungal infections that are associated with redness, itching, and swelling.
Mechanism of Action
-
Fluconazole: Stops the growth of fungi by blocking an enzyme needed to make ergosterol, an essential part of the fungal cell membrane. Without ergosterol, the fungus becomes weak and dies.
-
Beclometasone dipropionate: Works as a steroid, reducing inflammation by blocking the release of substances that cause redness, itching, and swelling in the skin.
