ENFIERA contains Gemcitabine, which is a chemotherapy medicine. It belongs to a group of drugs called antimetabolites. It is used to treat different types of cancers by stopping cancer cells from growing and dividing.

Mechanism
Gemcitabine enters the cancer cells and gets built into their DNA. This damages the DNA and prevents the cells from making new DNA and dividing. As a result, cancer cells die and tumor growth slows down.

Uses
Gemcitabine is used alone or with other medicines in the treatment of:

• Pancreatic cancer

• Lung cancer (non-small cell type)

• Breast cancer

• Ovarian cancer

• Bladder cancer
