Trilavir E is a combination medicine used to treat HIV infection.
It contains three medicines in one tablet:

• Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF)

• Lamivudine (3TC)

• Efavirenz (EFV)

It is similar to other HIV combination pills and helps simplify treatment.

Mechanism

• Tenofovir & Lamivudine: Block the HIV enzyme reverse transcriptase, which the virus needs to copy itself.

• Efavirenz: Also blocks reverse transcriptase but in a slightly different way.

• Together, they stop HIV from multiplying, reducing the viral load in the blood and strengthening the immune system.

  • Treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and adolescents.

  • Helps prevent HIV-related complications and improves overall immunity.

    Adverse Effects 

    Common side effects:

    • Dizziness, headache

    • Trouble sleeping, strange dreams (from Efavirenz)

    • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

    • Skin rash

    • Fatigue
