Duovir-N is a combination HIV medicine.
It contains two drugs in one tablet:

• Lamivudine (3TC)

• Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF)

It is usually used with another HIV medicine (like an integrase inhibitor or NNRTI) as part of a complete treatment.

Mechanism 

• Both Lamivudine and Tenofovir block the HIV enzyme reverse transcriptase, which the virus needs to make copies of itself.

• This stops the virus from multiplying.

• As a result, the HIV level in the blood decreases, and the immune system becomes stronger.

  Uses

  • Treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and adolescents (as part of combination therapy).

  • Helps prevent HIV-related complications and improves immunity.

    Adverse Effects 

    Common side effects:

    • Headache

    • Nausea, stomach upset

    • Tiredness

    • Diarrhea
