Levket is an anti-allergy medicine. It is available as:

• Levket tablet (contains Levocetirizine 5 mg)

• Levket-5 tablet (combination of Levocetirizine + Montelukast)

  Mechanism of Action

  • Levocetirizine: Blocks histamine (the chemical responsible for allergy symptoms), reducing sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.

  • Montelukast (in the combo): Blocks leukotrienes, substances that cause airway inflammation and mucus, giving extra benefit in allergic asthma or nasal congestion.

    Uses 

    • Allergic rhinitis (seasonal or perennial)

    • Urticaria (hives, skin itching, swelling)

    • Combination form also helps in asthma with allergy or nasal blockage.

      Adverse Effects
      Common side effects:

      • Drowsiness, sleepiness

      • Dry mouth

      • Headache

      • Fatigue or weakness

      • Stomach discomfort, cough, throat irritation
