Ribashiv contains Ribavirin, an antiviral medication used primarily for the treatment of chronic Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. It is usually administered in combination with direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) or interferon therapy. Ribashiv helps suppress viral replication and improve the chances of achieving sustained virologic response (SVR).

Mechanism of Action

• Ribavirin is a nucleoside analog that interferes with viral RNA synthesis.

• It is incorporated into viral RNA, causing mutations and inhibition of viral replication.

• This reduces HCV viral load and helps the immune system clear the infection more effectively.
