Tadacip contains Tadalafil, a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Tadacip helps men achieve and maintain an erection by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. It is also sometimes prescribed for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and pulmonary arterial hypertension under different brand recommendations.

Mechanism of action:
Tadalafil works by inhibiting the PDE5 enzyme, which breaks down cGMP, a chemical that relaxes smooth muscles and increases blood flow in the penis. By blocking PDE5, Tadacip maintains higher cGMP levels, allowing stronger and longer-lasting erections during sexual activity.

Uses:

• Treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men

• Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) symptoms, such as difficulty urinating

• Sometimes used for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) to relax blood vessels in the lungs

Adverse effects:
Common side effects include headache, flushing, dizziness, nasal congestion, stomach upset, back or muscle pain, and blurred vision. Rare but serious side effects may include sudden vision or hearing loss, prolonged painful erections (priapism), heart attack, or severe drop in blood pressure (especially if taken with nitrate medicines).
