Vorier contains Voriconazole, which is a broad-spectrum antifungal medicine.
It is used to treat serious fungal infections, especially in people with weak immune systems.

Mechanism 

• Fungi need a substance called ergosterol to build their cell membrane.

• Voriconazole blocks the enzyme (CYP450–dependent) that makes ergosterol.

• Without ergosterol, the fungal cell membrane becomes weak → fungus cannot grow and dies.

  Uses

  • Aspergillosis (lung infection caused by Aspergillus)

  • Candidemia (Candida infection in blood)

  • Serious infections caused by Fusarium or Scedosporium

  • Used in immunocompromised patients (like those with cancer, transplant, or HIV)

    Adverse Effects 

    Common side effects:

    • Fever, chills

    • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

    • Headache

    • Rash

    • Abnormal vision (blurred vision, seeing bright spots)
