Xpreza contains Azacitidine, which is a type of chemotherapy medicine. It belongs to a group called hypomethylating agents. It is mainly used for blood cancers and bone marrow disorders.
Mechanism
Azacitidine works by entering abnormal blood cells and changing how their genes are switched on and off. This helps the bone marrow make healthier blood cells and slows down the growth of abnormal cells.
